Recipe by Desiree "BlackstoneBetty" Dukes
Ingredients:
- 2- 12 inch Italian Rolls
- 1.5 lbs chicken breast
- 6 strips bacon, thick cut
- 1 tbsp Blackstone All Purpose Seasoning
- 1 cup monterary jack, shredded (sub american or cheddar)
- 1/2 cup BBQ Sauce, Duke's
- 2 tbsp red onion, diced
- 1/2 tsp parsely, garnish optional
Directions:
- Dice up chicken breast, as small or big as you'd like, set aside.
- Cut bacon into small pieces and set aside.
- Turn Blackstone on and set to medium heat, add the bacon and cook slowly keeping the bacon grease from draining off, this is what you'll cook the chicken in.
- When bacon is about 3/4 through cooking, add the chicken to the bacon and bacon grease. Add the Blackstone All Purpose Seasoning and mix to coat chicken completely and allow to cook 3-5 minutes.
- Add a drizzle of bbq sauce and mix into the chicken and bacon mixture.
- Turn Blackstone to low and seperate the meat mixture into two piles, add cheese and mix through to melt.
- Form two piles of meat the same shape as each roll, add a drizzle of BBQ sauce to each and place rolls ontop of the meat let sit about one minute.
- Holding the roll with one hand, slide a spatula under the meat and flip. Plate and garnish with fresh chopped red onions and parsely.
